Sofia Talvik wuchs auf einer schwedischen Westküsteninsel auf. Die Sängerin schafft mit einer Fusion aus nordischen Elementen und starken amerikanischen Einflüssen eine einzigartige und ganz neue Folkmusik. Sofia spielt bereits zum zweiten Mal im Limeskastell und bringt ihr neues Album »Center of the Universe« mit.

Ihre glasklare zarte und zugleich kraftvolle Stimme erinnere an berühmte Vorbilder wie die kanadische Singer/Songwriterin Joni Mitchell. In Talviks Liedern treffen freudige auf dunkle Momente und sie ist eine leidenschaftliche Geschichtenerzählerin.

Wenn sie manchem zunächst wie ein feengleiches Blumenkind erscheinen mag, so erzählen ihre Lieder nicht nur von Träumen und Magie und ihre Stimme zieht zugleich zart und filigran wie auch voller Kraft das Publikum in ihren Bann. Sie entführt ihr Publikum mit jedem Lied neu in eine tief reichende Gedankenwelt und besingt Geschichten, die trotz ihrer eigenen Sprache erstaunlich lebensnah sind.
